So consider a career with Kindred - it's rewarding on many levels. About the Opportunity Coordinate the processing of payroll runs for multiple facilities, ensuring their accuracy. Assist in the preparation of payroll reports; maintain payroll files. Review/process employee time reports, distribute paychecks; answer payroll-related inquiries. Provides communication about benefit information and processes benefit elections. Responsibilities:
Check employee timecards for accuracy and completeness; acquire any missing information from appropriate departments. Prepare timecards for batching, entering department and control codes.

Process payroll information via computer. Review new hire and change-of-status forms, prepare and process documents to record payroll information. Review completed payroll runs and reconcile reports to batch-control information.

Answer inquiries about deductions, accruals and related matters.

Prepare termination, vacation advance or other special checks

Assist in preparing payroll summary reports, maintain payroll files; process files for terminated employees and prepare files for new hires.

Provides communication for new enrollment and open enrollment for benefits. Answers all benefit questions.

Responsible for reviewing all benefit forms for accuracy and completeness.

Assures all benefit deductions are deducted from employee paychecks.

Assists employees who are incoming transfers and ensures that employees are re-enrolled in benefit plans and that benefit deductions continue. Assists employees who are outgoing transfers and ensures that benefit issues are addressed at the employee's new facility. Completes all paperwork for Corporate payroll and incoming/outgoing facility.

Provides employees with leave of absence paperwork and answers any questions. Monitors employees on leave of absence insurance premiums, notifys supervisor when employee has been on leave for 10 weeks.

Qualifications


The Payroll Benefits Coordinator must have analytical skills, be a problem-solver and able to prioritize and multitask. Computer literacy in payroll systems & word processing required. Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding payroll/benefits is important to this position.
Minimum 2 years experience payroll/benefits processing for multiple facilities.
High school diploma required.
