Payroll Clerk - IMMEDIATE NEED!!!

Payroll  Clerk position open with a reputable company in the Plainsboro, NJ area.  Responsibilities and Requirements are listed below.  This is an immediate, Temp to Perm need!!! Great company to work for, pleasant work environment. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

 

? Records, maintains, checks and balances time cards and changes through payroll for accurate calculation of employee pay.  Compiles time worked from time cards and calculates payable time. 

? Performs the necessary tasks for the compilation, preparation and input into the associated systems to track employee paid time off and paid time off accruals. 

? Sorts, counts, balances and distributes payroll checks. 

? Assists with the setup and verification of appropriate payroll deductions including the calculation of adjustments for corrections to deductions. 

? Also assists with the maintenance and accounting reconciliation of stock option transactions including tax amounts and the reconciliation of the 401K accounts.

? Prepare accounting support documentation for payroll transactions. 

? Works in Excel to update and keep current detailed commission calculations and reporting information necessary for the employees who receive commission payments. 

? May also enter payroll transactions into payroll accounting system(s) and verify accuracy.

? Performs all other related duties as required including but not limited to filing. 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Education



 

? College degree preferred.

 Type and Number Years of Experience



? Entry level with a basic understanding of accounting principles, payroll taxes and government payroll regulations. 

? Good computer and advanced Excel skills are also required along with high attention to detail.

? The ability to multi-task in a fast paced accounting environment and perform functions such as filing, answering inquiries, data input, creation and maintenance of complex spreadsheets along with the ability to reconcile accounts accurately. 

? Must be highly detail oriented.
