Payroll Director

  Description: 1.   Manage all payroll and Human Resource system operations.

2.  Accountable for multi-state payroll processing, payroll distribution, tax and deduction account reconciliation, database management and maintenance. Will work exclusively with the PeopleSoft system.

3.  Manage the payroll team including time and attendance.

4.  Create customer reports.

5.  Develop policies and procedures.

6.  Investigate, develop and integrate advanced systems and incorporate governance processes including SOX.

7.  Provide Leadership to staff. Mentor, direct, provide reviews.

8.  Provide technical support for payroll functions. Update PeopleSoft systems with improvements.

9.  Provide Payroll Accounting functions.

10. W-2 processing, payroll tax, reconciliations.

11. Provide Payroll processing bi-weekly.

 

Required:

-  Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS, Benefits and Payroll modules.

-  Solid understanding of PeopleSoft system.

-  Experience with MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).

-  5+ years experience managing Payroll using an in-house system (People soft).

-  Must understand current Payroll tax laws and regulations for multi-state

-  BS Degree preferred, Education in accounting, finance or business administration.

-  Must be able to communicate effectively with management and personnel at all levels within the organization.
