Payroll Operations Manager

(NASDAQ: HHGP), a $1.2 billion global company, is one of the world?s leading professional staffing, outsourcing and employment lifecycle solution providers.  Due to our service offerings expanding across the country, we are in need of an internal accounting professional.  We are looking for a professional Payroll Operations Manager that will be able to manage specific functions while servicing our vendors and employees.

 

THIS POSITION IS AN INTERNAL ROLE WITHIN HUDSON.

 

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

 

Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of hourly and salaried payroll including all earnings type, bonus payments, required federal and state withholdings, benefit deductions and all required reporting.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzes, prepares and oversees the input of payroll data, using an automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, year-end reports, filing for all statutorily required payments and deductions. Prepares summary reports for executive management.
Leads the activity for implementation and upgrade to the Oracle Payroll Module.
Maintains current knowledge of all government regulations involving payroll and some benefit knowledge.
Responsible for obtaining operating efficiencies in regards to payroll processes and implementing audit procedures to ensure proper use of company payroll.

 

Management and Supervisory Responsibilities:
 Directs and develops continuity amongst processes, team work and process improvements for the Payroll Team.
Ensures the appropriate management of the Payroll Department including training, hiring, discipline, termination and customer service standards.
Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
5 or more years of progressively more responsible positions and experience in managing the Payroll function.
Strong ability to plan, organize and direct the activities of a department.
Ability to manage a collaborative effort as the leader of departments not under their direct supervision.
Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
High level of proficiency with spreadsheet applications, word process and database applications.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritize
