Payroll/Payroll Tax Accountant

This person will be responsible for payroll processing, including monitoring, analyzing and reporting labor/overtime dollars/hours and staffing changes. Also this includes time clock/timesheets maintenance. This person will be responsible for maintaining employee benefits files - vacation hours, personal hours, FMLA, employee health and dental enrollment, and monitoring/reporting health care costs. This person will be involved in processing miscellaneous payroll reporting items (MD new hire forms, union dues, wage garnishments, pension contributions, credit union, savings bonds, uniform deductions, etc); the processing of payroll tax reports (state, sales, quarterly and annual tax reporting); and will generate monthly and quarterly 401K reports. This person will also perform other accounting duties and assignments deemed necessary by the Controller.

An AA in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred but not required. A minimum of 1- 2 years of experience in general accounting is required. Additional experience may be substituted for college credits.
