Payroll Processing Tax Specialist

Small payroll firm located in Tewksbury Massachusetts is searching for a full time Payroll Processing Tax Specialist to start immediately. Responsibilities include:Receives payroll data via phone, fax, or e-mail and enters it into internal payroll system; completes all required forms.Understanding of complex payroll circumstances and tax consequences for the following: deductions, garnishments, multi-state companies, accruals and non-resident employees.Ensures that data is input on a timely basis; manages client payroll schedules.Maintains all company and employee master-file and schedule information as directed by the clientAnswer basic client questions regarding payroll, taxes, schedules, ACH, employee/employer setups.Coordinate preparation of federal, state, and local payroll tax returns.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:Minimum of an Associates Degree and a CPP would be a plus.  Minimum of two years payroll experience with processing payrolls for multiple companies with over 50 employees.Must be able to research and resolve basic payroll questions with minimal assistance on a regular basis Good organizational skills with focus on detail and accuracy.  Excellent verbal and written skills Client Service Orientated.  Self directed, organized, and able to meet deadlines.  PC knowledge in the following would be helpful: Excel, ACT, and Access.  This individual should be highly motivated, willing to roll up their sleeves and work independently within a small business environment.
