Payroll Specialist

Due to growth and expansion we currently have an immediate need for an Payroll Specialist at our Irvine corporate headquarters. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

? Perform payroll data entry, process manual checks, direct deposits, control logs.

? Process multi-state payroll for approximately 400 employees using Paychex system.

? Auditing payroll for accuracy.

? Maintain reporting for workers compensation as it relates to payroll.

? Maintain reports and data for general ledger.

? Timely respond to employee questions and investigating payroll discrepancies.

? Preparing reports pertaining to quarter and year-end.

? Knowledge of pre-tax related deductions i.e. 401(k), ESPP, and health benefits.

? Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

? Maintain current knowledge of all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.

 

 

Position Requirements:

? 5-7 years multi-state payroll processing experience.

? Current Paychex/Stromberg system experience helpful but not a must

? Attention to detail.

? Current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage & hour laws.

? Experience with audits (Vacation, 401(k), workers' comp).

? Payroll tax knowledge.

? Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
