Planning & Analysis Manager

Plan, direct, review and coordinate planning and analysis activities, focusing on financial, marketing, labor and operational analyses. Understands and documents the goals, strategies and critical issues, which drive the success of the business. Responsible for providing analytical support for operating and marketing management and making recommendations regarding key strategic operating and marketing issues. Prepares near and long term capital spending and operating budget plans. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all submissions to the department?s internal customers.

?Coordinate the compilation of the annual operating budget and capital expenditure plan.
?Coordinate the weekly estimate compilation and reporting process.
?Coordinates the compilation of the Long Range Strategic Plan. Develops a program for disseminating,
interpreting and challenging the underlying assumptions, including economic environment, industry
assumptions and competitive market conditions and key competitor trends. Facilitates senior
management?s use of analysis in LRP decision-making. Develops and improves LRP financial forecast
models to meet the needs of the property and corporate personnel. Anticipates of
adjustments on the balance sheet, cash flow and income statements.
?Provide proactive, timely analyses to key operating managers to assist with strategic operating
decisions.
?Analyze marketing programs and makes recommendations regarding future programs.
?Review all reports and analyses prepared by planning and analysis staff for form, content,
completeness, and accuracy. Ensure that all reporting deadlines are met and internal customers?
questions and recommendations are responded to in a timely manner.
?Designs, assists and participates in various presentations to internal and external constituencies,
including among other things, quarterly and monthly operating reviews, capital submission packages,
RFP analyses, departmental performance analyses, and other ad-hoc analyses.
?Counsel, guide and instruct assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Prepare
and coordinate the periodic performance reviews of assigned personnel. Establish, design, create,
refine and administer analyst-training programs.
?Ensure compliance with existing and established company internal control standards, policies and
procedures pertaining to planning and analysis activities.
?Responsible for the documentation, reporting and updating of all departmental procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
?Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
?5 to 7 years of progressive analytical experience in a planning and/or finance environment is required.
?Strong background in casino financial/operational analyses, people/resource management, computer
systems knowledge. Strong customer service, communication, managerial and organizational skills.
?Must possess a broad knowledge of the Marketing Workbench application, CMS and the Infinium
accounting application. Knowledge of SDS, LMS, EMS and Micros preferred.
?Must have strong Excel and Access skills and working knowledge of the other Microsoft applications.
?Must be able to effectively mentor, coach, train, develop and motivate the Planning & Analysis team
in order to establish the team as a well-respected resource to the operations team and empower the
analysts to add value at every level.

Must have good problem solving techniques. Must have strong project management skills. Must be able to maneuver around office, effectively work at a desk and respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be self-motivated and able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
