We have an immediate opening for a Plant Accountant in our Anderson,CA location.



Summary: Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Responsible for assisting the Plant Controller and Plant Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and maintaining all plant financial statements, coordinating the plant accounting function, assisting in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan and Quarterly Forecasts, implementing and ensuring compliance for all applicable corporate policies and procedures, and supervising accounting clerical personnel.

Essential Functions: Assists the Controller and Assistant Controller in performing the plant accounting function to ensure successful, accurate and timely implementation of all financial systems in compliance with WTI and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Prepares accounts payable for input and audits. Approve input payroll data, process payroll and maintain payroll records. Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports. Assists in gathering and maintaining production statistics and data. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Assists the Controller in performing the plant accounting function to ensure successful, accurate and timely implementation of all financial systems in compliance with WTI and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Coordinates issuing of purchase orders with Purchasing Agent and secure vendor credit approval. Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings. Conducts studies and submit recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation. Collects appropriate data and prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns.

Education/Experience: Associates degree or equivalent in accounting and/or finance. Minimum three years of accounting and financial analysis related experience.  Bachelor?s Degree preferred.
