Experienced Controller for the Reedsburg Facility with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the Gerber/Novartis organization.

Demonstrated ability to perform key processes such as:

Analyzing plant operating results, recommending plans to improve financial performance, supervising the local Accounting Manager and support staff including Cost Accounting, General Accounting, and IT.

The Controller will oversee the overall manufacturing financial control process for the including:

Directing/reporting the estimated (LE and Flash) and actual financial results on a monthly and annual basis.

Conducting regular cost reviews and updating the plant organization on financial trends/opportunities/issues.

Ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

Develop/maintain plant standard product cost and establish appropriate performance measures/variance analysis against standards.

Prepare/analyze a variety of special studies on process improvements, capital appropriations, and new product introduction.

Responsible for the implementation/monitoring compliance of internal control system and corporate policies/procedures (Sarbanes-Oxley).

Contributes to the overall operation of the plant as a member of the Leadership Team.

May occasionally assist in projects outside of normal scope of responsibilities as needed for the overall effectiveness of the plant

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred).

8-10 years of plant controller/cost accounting experience.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment where products are made by batch process but working toward continuous flow.

Strong analytical skills and able to function with minimum direct supervision/direction at times.

Budgeting, business planning and forecasting skills.

Able to make clear and convincing presentations to senior management, peers and co-workers.

Expert level skills with Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
