Plant Controller Opportunity with Fortune 500 Comp

Our client is a leading manufacturer with a production facility in the Taft, CA. area.


We are looking for a financial leader to handle all of the plant finances as well as a piece of the operations.

The Plant Controller will be responsible for:


Directing the monthly closing process, ensuring the accuracy of the plant records and internal controls.


Reviewing and approving all journal entries, company reports, tax returns


Maintaining capital projects, records, reporting


Preparing monthly reconciliations of all asset and liability accounts


Review and approve inventory reconciliations


Internal and external audits


Work with corporate cost accounting on preparation of standard costs


Prepare plant's annual budgets


Provide cost and financial analyses to management


Supervise office staff


Oversee the maintenance staff, practices and procedures, arrange equipment inspections, develop maintenance budget and schedule, order supplies, make and implement process improvements


Requirements: BBA or BA degree in Accounting CPA or MBA candidate desired


 5-8 years experience with all accounting functions


Strong understanding of internal controls and demonstrated investigative and analytical skills Supervisory experience


Manufacturing environment experience


Superior project management skills


Excellent written and verbal communication skills
