Principal Compensation Analyst
This position will require the incumbent to:
gather, review, analyze, match and input data for participation in compensation surveys
Conduct compensation analysis of exempt and nonexempt labor markets
Collect and summarize survey output information for analysis of compensation pay structures/practices
Prepare compensation program presentations for executive, board of directors and compensation committee members
Provides special ad hoc analysis on compensation issues when needed
Participate in rolling out company wide annual base salary and incentive programs
Develop/prepare the company’s compensation programs
Review compensation trends and competitive compensation practices within the company’s respective labor markets and recommend changes that will have a positive impact on the company’s business in the area of compensation administration
Consult with and provide recommendations to human resources professionals and management on matters relating to compensation
Evaluate employee job levels and make appropriate recommendations
Prepare budget analysis to track spending of various compensation program budgets
Will work closely with other departments including business unit HR and IT to lead the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of compensation management systems used throughout the company
Train HR professionals and end users on the use of compensation management systems
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field with 3-5 years of compensation experience.
CCP or working toward certification preferred.
Must possess competent analytical skills in the areas of human resources, compensation and finance.
Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
Must have a broad knowledge of company and departmental operations, procedures and policies.
Must be a team player, capable of working with highly confidential material and working with little supervision.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and HRIS systems.
Must be a self-starter with strong personal work ethic.
Incumbent must possess basic mathematical skills and statistical methodology/applications used in gathering, conducting and analyzing labor market data, preparing salary surveys and answering/preparing compensation related requests.
