National Lead Tax Services - National Solutions Group
The National Solutions group is comprised of?the following service lines: ProvenSolutions, Research & Development, Strategic Tax Review, and Production Activity Solutions.??As a professional within National Solutions, you will leverage your Accounting, Tax or Law knowledge to identify opportunities that secure tax incentives for our clients.
Production Activity Solutions (PAS): PAS was developed as a new solution to the American Jobs Creation Act in late 2004. PAS professionals help bring new law platforms to clients and help them develop potential tax savings. PAS professionals manage local tax professionals and utilize
regional resources within Deloitte's organization to best serve clients. This "project management" approach supports our clients needs and allows the PAS professionals to become the Implementation experts. Professionals in PAS should have strong project management experience, understand a consultative approach to clients and have a strong technical background or understanding.
Ideal candidates will have previous project management experience. Having IT/Consulting technical experience, is just as valuable as the tax knowledge. Road Warriors Wanted.
Technical and Professional Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the Deloitte Tax LLP approach, methodology & tools
- Participate in client meetings with the respective tax engagement teams
- Assist in presenting our services to clients
- Manage regional tax professionals and work closely with senior tax leadership
- Research and develop the necessary materials for the client meeting
- Partake in the
strategic planning initiatives of the engagements

Personal and Practice Development:
- CPA certification desired
- Take proactive career steps - set goals and career plans with advisor/career counselor
- Develop excellent professional oral and written communication skills
- Continually develop through our Deloitte Learning curriculum of eLearning?modules and local and national training programs?
- Support firm and function initiatives, including Human Resource programs??
- BS in Accounting, Business Administration or Technical specialty, Ideal: Master of Science in Accounting or Taxation, or JD or LLM Degree (with undergraduate accounting/economics or finance?degree preferred)
- Must meet minimum requirements to sit for CPA, Bar, enrolled agent exam?before beginning full-time employment
- Relevant work experience: previous professional experience in a professional
services firm or Industry
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Approximately 30-50% national travel based on client assignments
