Prof Fixed Asset Accountant-Direct at Hitachi GST

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE WITH HITACHI GST

Assist in monthly reconciliation of US operations fixed asset accounts including analysis of monthly activity (additions, disposals, transfers). Prepare journal entries as necessary. Assist in the development of HGST accounting policies relevant to fixed assets. Ensure fixed asset policies and procedures are consistently applied and are in compliance with HGST business control gudelines. Perform special studies, as requested, related to assest accounting and methodology. Assist in coordinationof periodic physical inventories of fixed assets. Support Finance and other functional areas for issues related to fixed assets including analysis of significant activity, reporting, etc. Bachelor's Level Degree with with a minimum of 5 years related experience. Demonstrated analytical Skills. Demonstrated business communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of fixed asset accounting.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of fixed asset accounting policies and practices and the related business controls for all items including software. Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of GAAP fundamentals as they apply to the area of fixed assets.
