Project Analyst

Job Description: BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest business consulting and systems integration firms dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.

Preference will be given to candidates local to our Austin, TX office.

The Project Analyst performs elicitation, analysis, and documentation of requirements in support of systems integration and software development projects. The Project Analyst may also perform project management activities as assigned by the Project Manager.

Project Analyst Key Responsibilities:
Elicits functional requirements from stakeholders and from high-level requirements documents.
Assists in scope management for projects, including review of project deliverables and comparison to documented functional requirements, documentation and tracking of issues related to functional requirements, and escalation of issues that might change the scope of the project.
Performs Requirements analysis and prepares functional requirements including Use Cases and Supplemental Requirements.
Uses IBM Rational ClearQuest and RequisitePro as tools for issue management and requirements management.
Participates in continuous process improvements which will result in greater efficiencies, improved customer service, increased revenue, and overall improved project performance;
Identifies and documents issues and risks, offers realistic recommendations and alternatives that if approved achieve desired corporate and client results;
Works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team;
Works with clients and other project stakeholders to understand needs and deliver products and/or services that meet client needs and enhance client satisfaction;
Interacts professionally and effectively with internal and external project stakeholders and clients.

Key Skills & Experience:
Undergraduate degree required in business, business related, or MIS fields of study;
Good understanding of current web-based technology and software development lifecycle;
Minimum of 4 years experience in a Business Analyst or Requirements Analyst role;
Minimum of 2 years experience with Rational ClearQuest and RequisitePro or similar tools;
Familiar with standard software project life cycle methodologies, including Rational Unified Process.
Should have experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
Project management experience desired in any of the following areas:
Use case methodology and approach
Technical documentation preparation
Software Application testing
