Job Summary:

Oversight of project accounting functions, cash management and financial reporting. Establish and implement financial operating policies and procedures regarding privatization of military housing.  Provide financial support for annual budget process and coordinate internal audits as well as third party annual audits.

 

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:Establish and direct the implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Direct and supervise accounting support functions. Review and issue timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Report results of operations to ownership and management. Oversee and coordinate internal audits on a regular basis. Oversee accounting functions including collection, posting and depositing all rental payments. Review and approve accounts payable, and construction draws on a monthly basis. Coordinate all required partnership reporting for the project. Oversee and coordinate annual property management budget process. Coordinate accounting departments within the property management organization, including maintenance, contractors and housing office as required.

 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor?s degree in accounting is required. A minimum of five years residential management experience required. Military housing background or experience in working with the military is preferred. Minimum of three years experience as a Controller and three years supervisory experience is required. The position requires the ability to read and write English fluently and interpret documents related to financial structure The ability to perform advanced mathematical functions and the ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles. Must be proficient in the use of computers, particularly those functions that relate to spreadsheets, reporting and accounting. Knowledge of Yardi property management software desirable.
