Project Manager, Lean Design Processes

Description:
The Project Manager - Lean Design Processes will organize, lead and facilitate process improvement within a function that will have the greatest impact on process improvement and cost control. This individual will drive improvements in business performance utilizing Design for Six Sigma, ICR, and Six Sigma techniques. They will identify and manage resources to successfully execute projects. They will work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. They demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. They will develop metrics, collect data and measure performance against process improvement requirements, aligning improvement projects to business unit goals. As a Lean Design expert, they will drive design process improvements while achieving certification and meet all requirement specifications. They will train teams on tools to be employed, then mentor and lead the teams through utilization of the tools.

The scope of the position has a global impact with an initial focus on ICR, DFSS, and Lean tools, and will drive improvements in engineering, marketing, and general business processes.

This position will include a minimum of 25% domestic and international travel to other Rockwell Automation locations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrialization or Marketing.
Demonstrated leadership driving project successes
Demonstrated experience with New Product Development process.
Familiarity with all aspects of new product introduction, including marketing, engineering, and industrialization.
Minimum 7-10 years design experience within engineering and/or industrialization which includes experience with new product development processes.
Demonstrated leadership capability and change agent
Familiarity with market studies, specifications and analysis.

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Black Belt or Lean Master
Masters in Engineering, MBA
Global business proficiency and understanding
Experience with wide range of Rockwell products
Product Management background is a plus.
Previous Training/Coaching experience preferred.
