Property Accountant - Client Interviews Next Week - High-Growth, Lots of Opportunity!

Job Description and Responsibilities
The candidate??s responsibilities will be broad and will allow for significant growth and autonomy depending on his/her skill set and career development goals. Specific initial responsibilities include:

- Overseeing the accounting and reporting processes provided by a portfolio of 3rd Party Management Companies.
- Provide instruction, guidance and support to 3rd parties in the preparation of financial statements, annual budgets, year end CAM reconciliations, etc. 
-  Oversee the communication of DCT policies to the 3rd parties, and provide ongoing support to them. 
-  Assist in the design, refinement, and implementation of property level accounting processes, policies and procedures. 
- Working closely with internal groups to meet SEC reporting requirements. 
- Working closely with due diligence and acquisitions teams to accumulate information required to record property acquisitions and dispositions. 
- Working closely with Operations group to provide financial information needed to meet specific reporting requirements. 

- Provide guidance and assistance to 3rd party accountants regarding GAAP requirements, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. 
-  Depending on experience, participating in (and potentially being responsible for) additional accounting and finance-related areas of the business including: 
- Cash management 
-  Assist in implementation of Property Development and Construction processes.

Requirements
The successful candidate must be an assertive, self-motivated, team-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills who is comfortable working in a very entrepreneurial environment. The candidate must possess 3-5 years relevant experience - a solid accounting background, with property management / real estate experience. Working on multiple projects at once is not uncommon, so the candidate must be flexible, detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
