Public Audit Assurance Manager

Our client is a Spokane area public accounting firm and is currently recruiting for an experienced Certified Public Accountant to assume the duties of Assurance Manager. Assurance Managers provide both leadership and supervision to Audit Staff and manage external audit engagements. They provide detailed analysis of findings and coordinate all analytical, technical and research tasks. Managers work with firm Partners in the areas of risk assessment, audit plan programs and internal audit reports. Key responsibilities of the Assurance Manager include: Apply knowledge of business functions, processes and strategies Supervise, direct and review the results of the audit Supervise and train staff and seniors Resolve complex accounting and auditing issues Review client SEC filings Responsible for business development and marketing Responsible for engagement profitability including billings and collections All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Qualifications :
Qualifications for this position include a four-year degree in accounting, CPA Certification and five or more years of prior work experience in public accounting firm. Strong motivation to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service is essential, as well as the ability to build solid client relationships and mentor and train staff.
