Description of Job
The Purchasing Project Manager may source subcontractors, solicit and analyze bids, negotiate and award contracts for projects and be involved in managing the project through completion. Job responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:
? Responsible for cost negotiations between the trades and Robson Homes
? Complete and verify take-offs and analyze plans to aid in value-engineering
? Prepare contracts, amendments, purchase orders, scopes of work and extra work orders
? Review plans before bidding to ensure accuracy of options and specifications
? Research construction methods and source construction materials
? Act as a liaison between construction and subcontractors
Skill Sets/Requirements needed for Job
? College Degree preferred
? Minimum of 2-5 years experience in construction purchasing
? Proficient in Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
? Must possess established negotiation skills
? Ability to effectively read and interpret contract documents, scopes of work, construction documents and plans
? Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and time management skills.
? Handle multiple tasks concurrently, and meet deadlines.
? Self-motivated and directed.
? Strong ability to research, analyze and communicate data with great accuracy.
