Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for the various tasks within the Digital Insight's accounts payable department, with the primary focus on the purchasing function. The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the purchasing and receiving process for all of the Company's purchases. This includes centralizing purchasing transactions for the Company, processing purchase orders, maintaining the vendor master and vendor relationships and implementing and evaluating cost saving initiatives. Individual must be detailed oriented and have a solid understanding of the procurement process in order to effectively communicate with team members and company vendors. This position will work closely with accounts payable and cross-train on some accounts payable functions. Individual must have a proven track record of managing efficient procurement processes in which the individual served as the coordinator, procuring for multiple individuals within multiple divisions of the company. Required ExperienceDuties & Responsibilities:
1) (40% of day) Purchasing Operations
Develop centralized purchasing processes.
Coordinate purchase requisition requests from business owners throughout organization.
Place purchase orders for all locations.
Manage matching of indirect receipts to open purchase orders.
Coordinate purchase order distribution to vendors.
Work closely with accounts payable to reconcile invoices to purchase orders.
2) (15% of day) Vendor Management
Assist business owners and legal in negotiation of best pricing and services to meet the needs of the Company.
Assist business owners in performing vendor reviews to consider pricing, quality and service levels provided.
Manage and maintain vendor database including processing of new vendors and changes made to existing vendors.
3) Purchasing Processes and Procedures
Examine current in-house procedures and identify and implement process improvements, including documentation.
Drive compliance with purchasing policies and procedures and resolve any non-compliant issues.
Ensure purchasing policies support Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements, adequate evidence of these controls is maintained and that no ineffective controls exist.
Develop and provide end-user purchasing training to various departments & staff.
4) Cost Savings Initiatives
Develop and implement cost savings initiatives with business owners including renegotiation of contracts, consolidation of vendors and review of decentralized spending trends.
Perform spending analyses to determine potential areas of cost savings.
5) Monthly Accrual Process
Work with business owners to determine what monthly accrual amounts should be for open purchase orders as part of the month-end close process
Perform variance analysis for operating expenses by department against the forecast.

Qualifications:

1) Education/Training/Work Experience: Individual must have a proven track record of managing purchasing processes. 5 + years experience in purchasing management, responsible for purchasing lifecycle within the framework of the policies and procedures of a public company.
