Responsibility Level:

Under general direction and working within division policies and procedures, designs, develops and implements tests and statistical process control procedures to achieve quality specifications for all manufacturing processes.  Additionally, Statistical Quality Engineer would have responsibility to provide database support and analysis to internal and external customers.



 

Typical Duties:

? Conduct yearly plant quality audits at all facilities.



 

? Perform statistical analysis (capability analysis, regression analysis, T-Test, F-test, control charts, etc.)



 

? Facilitate K-T problem solving methodology throughout

Battery.



 

? Lead teams to develop/update Control Plans, FMEA’s, and level 3 documentation.



 

? Serve as project leader and drive Stake in the Ground (SITG) cost reduction projects.



 

? Interface between plants and

Milwaukee functional departments to ensure customer satisfaction.



 

? Investigate and resolve customer complaints.



 

? Ensure compliance to ISO/TS Quality Standards.



 

? Function as a team member on development projects and ensure APQP requirements are met.



 



Requirements:

Bachelors degree in engineering or mathematics with 1-2 years quality engineering experience, demonstrating analytical ability.  Thorough knowledge of ISO/TS Quality Standards and knowledge of Statistical Process Control required.  ASQC, CQE required or equivalent experience in Quality Engineering.  Thorough knowledge of APQP requirements.  Bi-lingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.  Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.



 



 

Working Conditions:

Position is in an office, as well as plant environment.  Requires 50% travel and willingness to relocate.
