REPORT ANALYST

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Central Billing Office Des Moines, IA
Serve as resource to System Support Manager to facilitate revenue information.
Coordinate production of monthly RVU and other financial indicators reports.
Troubleshoot and resolve with Reimbursement personnel any GPMS out of balance issues.
Prepare management reports detailing deposit and posting information for Reimbursement and Accounting Departments. Serve as primary contact for Reimbursement Department IDX/Accounting Balancing.
Assists with troubleshooting discrepancies in posting of insurance checks, bank reconciliation, credit card statements and coordinate information with Accounting and Reimbursement Department.
Develop and run Standard, Revised and Custom reports as requested from every facility and department within Iowa Health Physicians and the Iowa Health System to provide information to help improve operations.
Serve as resource to CBO Department for all computer software and hardware questions that can be handled without the IHS IT staff..
Back up System Support Manager as required.
Responsible for support and maintenance of SQL database, Access database, scripts, files and reports.
Responsible for developing Monarch models for GPMS and other text files.
Work with staff to develop reporting mechanisms to identify, graph and monitor system data for integrity reporting information to Clinic Managers, Director of Operations and training staff for continuous process improvement.
Recommend training areas based on report findings to facilitate data integrity.
Schedule daily, weekly and monthly reports to run in GPMS and distribute to appropriate personnel.
Keep current on GPMS constant file changes and modify/write GPMS reports and SQL reports as needed.
Update GPMS constant files as required.
Perform daily upload of electronic imaging files and troubleshoot electronic imaging issues reported by staff.
Archive daily, weekly, monthly IDX reports with Zip drive for reference monthly.
Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, Safety and Risk Management guidelines.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.
Maintain compliance with Personnel policies and procedures.
Behave in a manner consistent with all corporate Compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor environmental conditions in order to secure protected health information
Perform other duties as requested by System Support Manager to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the office.

Qualifications
Bachelor degree in business administration, finance or computer science.
Knowledge of clinic processes related to patient accounting system applications.
Knowledge of billing system functionality.
Previous experience coding diagnoses and procedures with ICD-9-CM and CPT.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices.
Experience with electronic mail, basic data management system applications, Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel and Access is critical. Knowledge of SQL scripts and Monarch programs helpful.
Data entry experience.
Knowledge of statistics and modeling to analyze data.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as a team member.
Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.
