RISC Analyst - Accounting Operations

We have an immediate opening for a Risk and Information Security Control (RISC) Analyst in the RISC area of our Accounting Operations Group. The primary focus of this position is to develop and implement process improvements and controls based on the findings and recommendations of Internal Audit and Risk.



The duties and responsibilities of this position include:

Develop and implement continuous controls, monitoring via data analysis tools set.



Work in cooperation with Lines of Business and support personnel throughout KeyCorp to address operating process challenges with efficient and workable solutions.



Coordinate with Risk and Control Analysts and Line of Business RISC Officers as they oversee the quarterly attestation of internal controls for presentation to KeyCorp's Audit Committee.



Work in cooperation with General Ledger account certification personnel to identify and address emerging or existing areas for process improvement.



Coordinate with Risk and Control Analysts to enhance overall quality of controls documentation.



Set priorities and develop solutions to resolve control gaps identified as issues during external audits, internal audits, regulatory audits, internal compliance reviews, and Risk and Control Analysts' reviews.



Assist with projects, identify and delegate tasks.





To qualify, the ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Administration with 3 to 5 years experience in an accounting or finance role. CPA, CIA or CISA certification preferred.



Strong understanding of business processes to identify opportunities for control and process improvement.



Demonstrated understanding of internal controls to ensure controls can be sustained by each process improvement.



Project management experience with the ability to work with and resolve complex issues



Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to work and build strong relationships at all levels of an organization.



Must have intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel or MS Access.





A combination of the following skills and experience is strongly preferred:

Exposure to 6-sigma or 6-sigma certification



Exposure to or knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley



Exposure to or knowledge of the following software and mainframe systems: Audit Command Language (ACL); Hyperion Essbase and MSA General Ledger.
