Oversee and have managerial responsibility for the successful execution of all aspects surrounding the accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, capital planning, transaction analysis, lease and rent payment administration of the United Health Group Real Estate Finance Group. Work with the Vice President-Real Estate in developing strategy and plans for the group as well as analyzing the success and monitoring key performance metrics of the UnitedHealth Real Estate Group.Oversee compliance with departmental policies and procedures

 

Responsibilities include
Manages the planning and direction of departmental operations and projects including day to day administration of assignments.
Serves as coordinator for real estate projects with other project participants
Recommend, implement and manage financial process improvements and change that will improve the group’s ability to meet its goals.  Inform business partners which may be impacted by such changes.
Have leadership role, participate and coordinate the Company’s large complex real estate projects and related financing.
Monitor and evaluate the operation, project progress and results to determine improvement in process.
Ability to anticipate accounting, financial reporting and operational issues, assess their implications, and determine a practical solution.
Effectively support and promote the personal and professional development of staff.
Ability to apply that knowledge to both practical and theoretical ("what if") scenarios, from both an accounting  and economic perspective.
Advanced financial reporting knowledge including the ability to generate a complete set of financial statements and assess and communicate financial reporting impacts of accounting applications.

Experience
7 to 10 years of significant professional finance, accounting or real estate experience with two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem solving experience

Education:
Bachelors degree required
Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.

Prefer  MBA degree,  CPA certification a plus
