Region Chief Financial Officer

SUMMARY

Directs financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Manages and supervises all accounting functions for the organization except public financial reporting.  Manages and supervise all cash management functions including disbursements, applications and receivables.  Responsible for preparation of budgets and forecasts.Responsible for management of the capital expenditures budget.  Establishes, or recommends to management, major economic objectives and policies for company.Performs review and analysis of transactional information for the company in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.Prepares and files, or supervises preparation, of appropriate tax returns.Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.Responsible for facilitation of audits by the Independent Auditors, the corporation?s internal auditing group, or legal governing bodies. These responsibilities include appropriate timely communication with company and corporate management on the progress and significant developments associated with these audits.Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management responsibility for Credit Manager and Staff,  Accounts Receivable/ Cash Applications and staff members of the company?s financial group. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the company-based accounting functions and associates.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S) from four-year college or university, and Eight to ten years related experience and/or training.  Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and CPA preferred

? Proficient in use of computer software, e.g., Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, and adept at learning to use systems solutions and new  software necessary for competent and efficient execution of day to day functions, e.g., CU, Monarch, etc.
