The Society's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, the Society has invested more than $424 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

As the Regional Controller, you will be responsible for all general accounting and financial reporting functions for chapters within an assigned geographic region. This will include overseeing the general ledger; cash receipts and accounts payable function; preparing monthly and annual financial statements; assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. This position will also provide guidance and related analytical support to the chapters, regional management and the Home Office. 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

 Individual must have a minimum of five years related accounting experienceBachelor?s degree in Accounting requiredJD Edwards accounting software experience preferredStrong technical knowledge and accounting theories and practices requiredMust have the ability to process and analyze large amounts of financial data and provide solutions in a timely mannerPosition requires travel to assigned chapters as needed (typically 10%).  Will review internal controls in place and provide any necessary training
