Regional Credit Manager - NorthWest Region

Currently we have an opening for a Regional Credit Manager to cover the Northwest Region.  This position can be located in Northern California (Bay Area) or Portland, OR.

 

Responsibilities:Oversees collection of accounts receivable for SSC?s in assigned region. Manages the collection process and meets monthly cash flow targets. Works with General Sales Managers and members of the sales team to maximize sales while minimizing credit risk. Establishes credit limitations on customer accounts and handles special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment. Provides customer service regarding credit and collection issues. Maintains total account receivables at minimum levels. Assists internal customers, including, but not limited to: limits, terms, reconciliations, claims and collections. Establishes and maintains working relationships with network of collection agencies and attorneys. Audits delinquent accounts considered uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account. Motivates, trains and mentors sales associates in areas of credit and collection. Keeps manager informed of credit issues within assigned region. Generates and prepares various collection reports as needed. Maintains securitization of accounts receivable through mechanic liens and bond claims.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience that will provide working knowledge of collection management and state lien and bond laws.Must have 7-10 years commercial credit experience; preferably in the building materials industry. Previous experience managing all aspects of credit, finance and collections for multi-state operations.Previous supervisory experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent customer service and sales skills. Strong organizational and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail. Good computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets. Must be able to represent the corporation in county courts and litigate for judgement, as well as, pursue legal remedies available for post judgement. Proven ability to motivate others to collect. Must have knowledge and experience in dispute resolution, invoice processing and with Information Technology systems.

 

Willingness to travel within the geographic region.
