Job Summary:

Position plans, provides resources and directs activities for enterprise-wide provider financial analysis.  Provides analytics for strategic and operating decisions.

 

Essential Functions:

 Provide financial, operation and strategic leadership to the regionProvide financial expertise to support the regional goals and objectivesDevelop controls and monitoring process to track and report regional performanceDevelop and implement cost-reduction strategies and programs to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the regionAbility to manage and prioritize multiple task, promote teamwork and fact based decision-makingChampion regional issues coordinating corporate support for efficient and effective resolution

 Advises management in long-range planning Provides technical direction to functional managers, other directors and managementRecommends changes in area(s) policy and procedureCoordinates with regional leadership in preparing and managing administrative budgets and expenses

 

Supervision Received/Exercised:

 Self starter individual, ability to work independently and manage to multiple priorities with limited resourcesManaged workflow and scheduling of staff to ensure analysis are complete and accurateRecruitment and performance measurement of analytical teamCreate positive environment for staffAssess and manage performance of staff.

 

Scope of Decisions:

 Decisions require considerable judgment in the analysis of problems and affect the area in important ways.  Has significant input into policy and latitude to make decisions for the area. Scope is both corporate and area-focused. Responsibilities are complex and results may have long-range implications.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

 

Education and Experience:

?  MBA or CPA with 5-10 years experience in managed care

?  In-depth knowledge of finance

?  Substantial relative contracting and medical cost management experience

?  Demonstrated leadership, people management and facilitative skills

?  Ability to retain confidentiality regarding privileged company information

?  Provide proactive approach and support to emerging business activities established to remain competitive in the marketplace

 

Communication and Numeric Skills:Oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate clearly and grammatically both complex and simple messages to a wide audience either within or outside of the organization.

 

Computer Skills:Knowledge of email systems such a Microsoft Outlook sufficient to communicate with both internal and external contacts.Knowledge of Excel for financial forecasting and modelingKnowledge of database reporting tools to assist in preparing analysis.
