Revenue Accounting Assistant

Functions:

 

Performs accounting and data entry functions in the Revenue Accounting Department.

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

 Performs all functions related to the management and reporting of carloads and revenues, including the application and auditing of freight rates and railroad divisions of revenue using current railroad accounting rules and standards.

 Management and billing of customer accounts, including auditing and reconciliation of all invoices, payments and transactions.

 Manages accounts receivable customer collections and credit information.

 Closes and audits monthly, quarterly and yearly company accounts.

 Compiles, audits and reports statistical data.

 May perform other tasks as directed.

 

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:

 Strong computer and data entry skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

 Experience in accounting and/or accounts receivable.

 A two year accounting degree or equivalent.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 Excellent interpersonal skills.
