Revenue Recognition Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Revenue Recognition Accountant

Job Description:
Review/interpret revenue recognition guidance for hardware, software, services and leasing, with special emphasis on software and leasing. 
Knowledge of pertinent pronouncements (ie., SOP 97-2, SAB 104 and/or EITF 00-21) is preferred.  Professional certification (CPA/CMA) is a plus. 
Strong teaming skills and excellent communication skills are required as well as a proven track record in interpretation, implementation and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
Work with Accounting Practices, Business Controls, Brands, Financing, Accounting staff and client teams as needed on emerging issues and offerings.
Interpret, implement and ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting policies, procedures and instructions and US GAAP. 
Develop and maintain appropriate business control posture. 
Deliver executive level presentations on financial matters which highlight alternatives, recommendations, business implications and risks. 
Assume additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

 

Candidate Must Have:


Accounting degree


Extensive and complex revenue recognition skills and experience


Extensive knowledge of revenue recognition pronouncements


Knowledge of pertinent pronouncements (ie., SOP 97-2, SAB 104 and/or EITF 00-21)


CPA/CMA.
