Risk Analyst

Risk Analyst to plan, conduct and lead assigned risk projects, including financial and special projects.  This role provides knowledge leadership and coaching to other team members, and will be assigned reviews and projects at all levels of complexity. 

 

Responsibilities

Defines project objectives and scope and provides guidance to risk team members in developing project plans.

Provides guidance to other team members on determining project approach, provides feedback on results and presentations.

Develops and maintains productive customer, staff and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.

Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and shares information with co-workers.

Assist in establishing department goals and interfacing with senior management on the team results and goals.

Present high level findings at monthly Operational Reviews.

Responsible for assisting in annual plan and resource planning for Risk team.

Conduct risk assessment updates for new processes and changes to control environment.

Technical Skills

Skilled in collecting and analyzing complex data, identifying risks and impacts and drawing logical conclusions.

Demonstrated skills in effective oral and written communications, including effective solution negotiation.

Experience and advanced level knowledge of audit techniques and control.

Proficient at test work, developing workpapers and understanding internal control processes and cross functional business risk identification.

Ability to manage project scope and objectives, oversee a team, and be accountable for overall project deliverables and execution.

Extensive skill in planning and project management with the ability to multi-task on varying projects and initiatives.

Strong desktop computer skills, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

 

Experience

Minimum 5+ years experience in business

Minimum of 3+ years experience in risk identification/control or Audit

Experience in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, accounting, commissions or customer service is preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 

CPA, CIA or comparable designation preferred.
