SEC ACCOUNTANT / ANALYST -- CORPORATE FINANCIAL REPORTING

 

Summary:

Work as part of a team responsible for the consolidation and reporting of this Fortune 500 Company's results to internal and external users.

 

Primary Responsibilities: Monitor and review financial pronouncements to ensure compliance Help with monthly consolidation of corporate results Help with Quarter-end and year-end closings Help with Annual report preparation, including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A and other information Account analysis Monthly reports Assist in SEC filings of the company?s Form 10-K and 10-Q?s Assist and/or provide additional support in areas including internal and external reporting, Board of Directors reporting, accounting research, and other technical accounting areas as needed

 

Required Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting / Finance.  An advanced degree is preferred.

 

Certification / Licenses:CPA or Parts Passed (Preferred)

 

Required Experience:2-4 years in a corporate financial accounting or auditing environment, preferably to include experience with financial accounting / audit of a publicly-held company Some experience in preparing or auditing financial statements Knowledge of and ability to research and apply proper GAAP and FASB standards, accounting policies and principles, and of reporting and disclosure requirements Excellent MS Word and Excel skills Strong project and planning abilities High ethical standards Excellent communication skills

 

 

STAFF (or SENIOR) INTERNAL AUDITOR

 

Summary:



Survey activity in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and adequacy of the system of control to achieve established objectives.  Prepare flowcharts to document understanding.  Assist Senior Internal Auditor(s).

 

Primary Responsibilities:Survey activity in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and adequacy of the system of control to achieve established objectives.  Prepare flowcharts to document understanding. Assist Senior Internal Auditors in planning and scheduling assigned audits, preparing audit program and determining the thrust of the proposed audit effort. Obtain, analyze and appraise evidentiary data as a basis for informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of systems. Make or assist in making oral or written presentation to management and recommending corrective action. Appraise the adequacy of corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions. Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations, standards and skills in the field of internal audit and related matters of interest to the department. Provide assistance to the senior internal auditors and external auditors during the annual audit and interim reviews. Participate in acquisition due diligence work as requested. Performed necessary testing and subsequent follow-up required in connection with Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 - Section 404.

 

Required Education:

Four-year undergraduate Accounting

 

Certifications/Licenses:CPA or Parts Passed (Preferred)

 

Required Experience:



1-2 years of public accounting audit experience or internal audit experience
