SEC Accountant w/Public Accounting (Big 4) Experience!

Overview: MarineMax has an immediate need for an experienced SEC Accountant with Public Accounting (Big 4) Experience.  This position is based at our Team Support location in Clearwater, Florida.  The SEC Accountant is responsible for preparing SEC documents, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, and other SEC reports, on a timely basis, performing technical research on various topics and documenting impact memos in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and performing various other responsibilities in a timely manner.  The salary for this position is $60,000+ and is negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
Prepare all SEC documents, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, and other SEC reports on a timely basis
 Perform technical research on various topics and document related impact memos in accordance with GAAP
Assist with month-end close
Prepare consolidated financials and supporting schedules
Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end audit with external auditors
Perform ad-hoc duties, as assigned

Skills/Abilities:
Bachelors in Accounting
CPA
3+ years of Public Accounting (Big 4) Experience
Strong GAAP (research)
Solid technical and research skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal direction
Effective interfacing with internal departments
