SEC Analyst

SEC Reporting Analyst The SEC Reporting Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of all external financial reports to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition, this position is responsible for the monthly preparation of internal financial and statistical reports for Senior Management and quarterly preparation of financial reports for regulatory bodies and member associations.

Responsibilities:

This position relies on written accounting pronouncements promulgated by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
? This person oversees and assists in preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission within filing deadlines.
? This person will prepare financial and statutory reporting through review of operating results, accounting policy and disclosure requirements.
? This individual prepares Forms 8-K, 10-Q and 10-K in conjunction with the Corporate Controller and Legal departments, prepare Earnings Releases prior to publication, and oversees and assists in preparation and on-time issuance of quarterly and annual reports required by regulatory bodies and associations of which the Company is a member.
? This person oversees and assists in preparation of monthly internal financial and statistical reports for Senior Management and drafts and keeps the departmental training policy current, coordinates the training development plan with the Corporate Controller.
? This person interprets, identifies, monitors, researches, communicates and implements new US GAAP pronouncements and SEC reporting requirements; and determines application of new SEC or GAAP disclosure requirements.
? Will work closely with the auditors and attorneys over accounting and stock matters
? Assist in the monthly closing process.
? Responsible for the documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
? Responsible for working on and developing process improvement
? Assists with compliance under Sarbanes Oxley 404 act.

Experience or expertise:

? 7+ years financial or accounting experience required
? Prior SEC Reporting experience.
? 3+ years experience at Big 4 public accounting firm desirable
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Strong computer skills in MS Office
? Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
? Candidates must have good business knowledge
? Ability to work with all levels of management
? BS in finance or accounting
