SEC Reporting Accountant

Job Responsibilities   Manages and participates in the preparation of all external financial reporting, quarterly and annual reports, and other required SEC filings, including the information gathering process.
Provides technical and consulting support to the Finance Department on the treatment of accounting issues, implementation of new accounting standards and compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC and PCAOB regulations.
Supports due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Responsibilities include:

? Participating in the process for preparation of the Company's SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.);

? Providing technical research on accounting issues and new accounting standards;

? Reviewing and providing feedback on existing accounting policies;

? Serve as direct liaison with external auditors;

? Preparation of certain schedules and analysis for the external audit.

 

Qualifications Requirements

 
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance is required.
CPA is highly preferred.
Technical proficiency with and knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements is required.
1 ? 3 years of external reporting experience is required.
2+ years of public accounting experience is required.
Experience with annual report preparation is a plus.
Strong analytical and organizational skills are required.
Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
Proficiency in MS Windows based applications, including MS Excel and MS Word, are required.
Ability to keep current on evolving accounting issues and financial reporting requirements is required.
Ability to meet strict deadlines on a consistent basis is required.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, from staff to executive management, is required.
Familiarity with software revenue recognition rules is a plus.About Hudson Financial Solutions
