SEC Reporting - Sr. Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION Create internal and external financial reports obtain and maintain supporting documentation for such reports; Ensure proper distribution of internal reports on a monthly basis; Prepare and enter various general ledger journal entries for month-end closing; Reconcile and analyze various general ledger account balances and recommend to management appropriate action to be taken; Perform analysis of reserves for certain liabilities; Maintain Essbase and Hyperion reporting tools; Update structural outline and refresh data per a predetermined schedule, create and maintain Hyperion reports, and coordinate issue resolution with external consulting firm; Assist other Essbase users with data retrieval questions; Research questions and issues that arise relating to information contained in the monthly financial reports for internal business partners; Supervise accounting clerk; Prepare monthly financial schedules and present them to management in the monthly close review meeting; Interact with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits, as needed; Prepare and complete special projects, including technical research, as needed.

DESIRED SKILLS:
4 year accounting degree; 3-5 years of general accounting experience; SEC reporting exp. and knowledge of SEC reporting requirements; Proficiency in Word and Excel.
