We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant, Regional Operations to join our office located in Chicago, IL.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, REGIONAL OPERATIONS - Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly and quarterly business unit reporting which includes variance reporting, audit work papers, revenue reconciliations, and statistical analysis
Maintain business unit's general ledger accounts and monitor account activity including allocations, depreciation, and intra-business unit accounting
Produce and analyze monthly and quarterly Management Reporting Packages
Prepare summary analysis & backlog reporting for senior management
Ensure accounts receivable objectives and metrics are met - oversee maintenance and research on past due AR
Responsible for timely and accurate recognition of revenue in compliance with contract terms
Work with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with internal controls
Assist with departmental and business unit projects as needed
Act as point of contact for field personnel to assist with finance related questions
Develop financial models on assets, ownership structures, location analysis, and financial statement reviews
Review lease agreements, financial statements and other materials as part of the due diligence/valuation process
Market research utilizing internal and external resources, as well as self-generated surveys
Light to moderate travel required

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
Bilingual - Spanish
Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic
Prior International finance & accounting specific exposure is a plus
Strong attention to detail
Strong project management skills and be adept at successfully implementing business initiatives
Ability to work on multiple assignments
Conceptual understanding of the real estate market and sophisticated financial analysis acumen Self-starter with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior PeopleSoft experience is a plus
Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
