SENIOR ACCOUNTANT W/FORTUNE 100 COMPANY

DESCRIPTION Our Fortune 100 company in the central New Jersey area  has created an extremely visible position in our finance/accounting division.

Responsibilities: The selected Senior Accountant will perform the monthly financial closing processes including preparation of monthly financial reports and analyses. This position will also prepare internal management reporting and external financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements. The Senior Accountant will develop/maintain operational performance measurement tools and analyses, assist in the preparation of various cost accounting reports and analyses, and assist in the implementation of new accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will identify and implement improvements to internal control policies and procedures and interact with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.    REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or similar field is required. A MBA or CPA designation is highly desirable. Candidates must have a minimum 2 years of financial experience, preferably with a Big 4 Accounting Firm or working in a financial reporting role for a global company. Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements as well as demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills are required. The Senior Accountant must also have demonstrated oral and written communication skills and computer skills including Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, Essbase, and/or SAP is desired. This Accountant must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Salary/Pay Rate: 70k-85k $$$
