We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Client Accounting group located in Westmont, IL.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - WESTMONT, IL

Responsibilities:
Prepare timely and accurate monthly property financial statements for most complex properties, generally a 5 to 6 property portfolio
Submit financial statements and work papers in reviewable form (including documentation) and within the proper time frame for review
Document the resolution of all issues identified in the Manager's review of financial statements
Responsible for cash management of assigned properties
Insure that all bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis and follow-up on all outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly
Assist property management in the budget process and review the budget from an accounting perspective
Work with the property manager team to process escalation billings
Handle difficult client situations and ensure that all special needs are being met
Assume responsibility for the coordination and organization of year-end audit work, and prepare supporting schedules
Maintain a working knowledge of assigned property budgets and assigned property operations
Be proactive in keeping Manager informed of all activities
Maintain a working knowledge of mortgage agreements and management agreements for assigned properties


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
Minimum of 4-6 years of real estate accounting experience
Demonstrated professional leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High computer proficiency in excel and real estate related software such as MDI and Yardi
