SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST
Worldwide leader has an opening in their Business Unit Finance division for a Senior Business Analyst. The role would be a key member of the Strategic Analysis team in Business Unit Finance. This position has been created to aid in the development of a new financial planning & analysis and decision-support capability within a newly formed business unit. The role will be focused on strategic financial analysis and modeling in order to aid executive decision-making and will not involve closing or financial accounting responsibilities.
The new position will be strategic in nature and will offer candidates visibility to senior management within Finance as well as in other functional areas of the business. The candidate will play a critical role in the Strategic Long Range Planning process and will be involved in all phases such as market assessment, strategy development and financial modeling. The role will also be involved in a number of ad-hoc analysis projects that could include advertising sales analytics, acquisition analysis, competitive intelligence, and business case analysis for new product offerings.
Ideal candidates will be results-oriented and highly motivated with the ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing environment. The company's recent restructuring into three key business units has resulted in an opportunity to reinvent the Finance role and the position will be involved in shaping and executing on that vision.
An MBA is preferred but not required. Candidates should have a minimum of at least one role in a traditional corporate finance function, and candidates with diverse quantitative backgrounds (e.g., engineering) are encouraged to apply.
