Abbott is seeking to fill a newly created position with an experienced attorney for its Legal Regulatory & Compliance Group (FDA Practice)at its Abbott Park, IL headquarters. The primary responsibility will be to provide legal counsel on regulatory and quality matters impacting Abbott's nutritional and infant formula businesses. This person will also be called on to provide legal counsel on regulatory and quality matters impacting Abbott's pharmaceutical and medical device businesses, to include ensuring company compliance with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and regulations and similar foreign laws, particularly those governing manufacturing, advertising and promotion, and clinical studies. This position could be Counsel or Sr. Counsel level, depending upon experience.

Qualifications
Candidate should have 3 - 15 years legal experience at a major law firm, corporation, or government agency working on FDA regulatory and quality issues involving foods, medical foods, nutritionals, or infant formula. It would be helpful, though not a requirement, for candidate to also have experience with FDA statutes, regulations, guidance, and practices affecting pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
