SR Auditor

Baystate Health, Inc.(BH)  is seeking a high performing team player for this position. The successful candidate will demonstrate familiarity with audit methodologies and standards, innovation, collaboration, production, and quality performance. It requires emotional maturity, decisive risk taking, and focus.  
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in assessing the inherit risks presented by BH?s planned and current operations by developing and performing risk-based audit programs and procedures approved by the Manager of Audit Services  Formulates recommendations for improvement on basis of results of examinations for review by the Manager of Audit Services. Participates in discussions of audit findings and recommendations with management. Adheres to Audit Services Audit Approach and prepares neat and logical audit work papers to document procedures, results, and conclusions of examinations in compliance with professional and departmental standards. Prepares formal written reports for review by the Manager and Director of Audit Services and submission to management and Audit and Compliance Committee of the Board of Trustees.

 

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree required. More than 3 years experience in internal or external audit; Demonstrated knowledge; theory and practice of auditing, including industry standards (IIA, AICPA, ISACA, etc. ), audit processes, and business ethics; Ability to gather and analyze information; Excellent verbal skills required, including interviews and presentations; Strong writing skills required, including the ability to write concise reports; Broad-based healthcare experience a plus; Prior experience in team building; Ability to work effectively in a team or independently; and Ability to work within a time budget.
