SR. COST & FINANCIAL ANALYSIS ACCOUNTANT

A rapidly growing leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of high-density crystal materials for the Opto-electronic, semi-conductor, and optics industries is seeking a Senior Cost and Financial Analysis Accountant.

 Job Description:

This role involves determining and developing standard costs of products and preparing annual company budgets and financial statements and periodic updates. Position requires working closely with all areas of manufacturing to develop an understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

?  Designs and implements cost accounting system

?  Analyzes production costs and recommend changes

?  Develops and maintains cost standards, cost allocations, variance analysis and other cost accounting assignments.

?  Prepares cost of goods sold and production reports

?  Assists with month end physical inventory process and reconciliation of physical counts

?  Educates and trains manufacturing department managers in cost analysis and financial impacts

?  Assists in implementation of manufacturing enterprise system

?  Assists in preparation of monthly financial reports

?  Manages with the Director of Finance the budget process

?  Develops and maintains financial models used for budgets and forecasts

?  Prepares financial analysis for requests for capital acquisitions

?  Establishes credit limits for customers.

?  Works with sales and quality prepares credit memos.

?  Participates in monthly close activities

?  Other financial analysis and projects as required

 

 Requirements:Bachelors?s degree in accounting with 8-10 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.Proven knowledge of establishing and developing costing standards and solid understanding of GAAPIndividual must be willing to be team and individual contributor and willing to assist in all accounting functions.Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a high level of initiative are required.Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft ExcelCPA preferred
