SRM Financial Analyst 1/2

In this position you'll analyze financial information of the Agency and its external customers; develop integrated revenue/expense analyses of financial transactions, budget plans, and execution reports. You will conduct studies to analyze and evaluate actual or potential effectiveness of current or projected budget programs and interpret source information and apply it to studies/analyses. You will also interpret source information and apply it to studies/analyses. You will develop, research and/or verify costs supporting various AFCESA programs and enter the costs in accordance with program methodology. You will coordinate and provide support to functional contacts in serviced organizations. You will be responsible for input of relevant FM information to automated programs and perform quality checks of automated system database information and advise the program manager of significant problems. You will provide routine reports and analysis and ad hoc reports and information. You will also manage customer funds ensuring compliance with fiscal law. You will provide products and information/presentations using MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access and or Word).

 

Grade range B41/B42. Final grade determination will be based upon the knowledge, skills and abilities of the selected applicant.



Experience in the following areas is required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business with 3 years of experience.
Detailed knowledge of budgetary methods, practices, procedures, precedents, policies.
Must be able to communicate in writing and verbally with customers and providers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access) Intermediate User.

Experience in the following areas is an asset:
Budget analyst or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) desired.
At least one year experience involving Air Force Cost Analyses and financial Management.
Familiarity with Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS) accounting and budgeting database.
Ability to quickly learn software applications.
