STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Objective:  To assist in the General Ledger Accounting department

 

Key Responsibilities:

?  Record daily cash and credit card settlement activity

?  Maintain Fixed Asset accounting records, including recording additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation and impairments, in accordance with company?s policies and procedures.  Reconcile fixed asset subsidiary ledger to general ledger

?  Provide support for Capital Expenditures procedures through maintenance of AFE records, capital budgets, depreciation budgets and related analyses

?  Contribute in monthly closes by preparing journal entries and analyzing G/L accounts

?  Prepare various monthly reconciliations

?  Ensure work is in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

?  Work on other special projects as assigned

 

Skills Required:

?  3-5 years of general accounting experience

?  Bachelor?s degree in Accounting preferred

?  Strong computer skills using Microsoft Excel and Word; Access preferred

?  Oracle experience a plus

?  A good team worker who can also work independently

?  Creative thinker and problem solver

?  10-Key by touch

?  Ability to work under pressure of deadlines

?  Strong analytical skills and good organization

?  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
