STAFF ACCOUNTANT/STRONG, FULL CHARGE BOOKEEPER ? COMMERCIAL LINES INSURANCE

 

IPS is looking for an accountant or very strong bookkeeper to handle the books at a large insurance brokerage.  Experience handling commercial lines insurance is a plus.  This position is in one of the largest brokerages in the state, known for its integrity and for the quality treatment of its employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Post accounts receivable/payable, prepare deposits and daily balancingBudget preparationCheck processingSurplus lines filings, process internal premium finance quotes and contractsCorrespondence with retail brokers, premium finance companies and insurance companiesAudit endorsement creation, billing and follow up, and identify errors and process corrections

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Two years of accounting, insurance agency experience a plusStrong skills with Excel, accounting knowledge software beneficialStrong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and complete workloadAbility to identify and solve problemsEnthusiastic, ethical personality with the willingness to learn new tasks
