STAFF ACCOUNTANT W/ SOME FIXED ASSETS

 

General Overview

Performs general accounting entries, analysis and reconciliations with a heavy emphasis in fixed assets. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

 

 Main Responsilbilites 
? Maintain and prepare monthly fixed asset additions, disposals and depreciation.  Prepare Corporate, Federal, State and AMT depreciation.  Work with various departments to maintain fixed asset tagging and annual physical inventories of fixed assets. 
? Maintain fixed asset capital budget accounting and purchase order commitments.
? Maintain and monitor vendor, customer and general ledger accounts.  Update financial reporting system to ensure new account entry.
? Assist with month end close.
? Assist with SEC reporting schedules.
? Assist with year-end audit and tax schedules.
? Assist with special projects.

REQUIREMENTS: 
? Bachelor degree in accounting
? 2-4 years of experience
? Excellent computer and analytical skills
? Microsoft excel a must
? Great Plains knowledge a plus
? Good verbal and written communication skills
? Detail oriented and highly motivated
? Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
