Securitization Accounting Specialist

This role has significant interaction with Treasury (Securitization, Strategy, Operations, and Affiliate Finance) as well as interaction with OGC, OTC and Credit Financial Analysis; supporting funding initiatives/business changes and providing support on accounting/financial reporting impacts. Significant interaction will also be with Credit Financial Reporting/General Accounting to support financial reporting process and analysis. Major responsibilities include: Support accounting, reporting, and systems for various Securitization transactions. Prepare/review quarterly footnotes for sales of receivables and variable interest entities for financial statements and annual sales of receivables footnote for financial statements. Manage information flow and relationship with outside auditors to support the financial audit and S-Ox attestation. Ensure proper internal controls are maintained (system and system changes, documentation of procedures, account reconciliations, etc.); ensure compliance with S-Ox requirements. Review accounting pronouncements related to securitization accounting; ensure compliance. Review development of annual un-audited financial statements for numerous securitization legal entities in support of annual board meetings. Read legal documents from securitization transactions and assist with balance sheet treatment determination.

Securitization accounting experience or securitization funding experience coupled with strong accounting knowledge required. The ability to work well with cross-functional teams to achieve overall securitization tasks and objectives is essential. Applicants will need strong financial and analytical skills in order to complete many different types of assignments. Supervisory and leadership skills and strong oral and written communication skills are required. CPA and/or MBA are a plus, but not required. Financial Reporting / Treasury experience is a plus. PeopleSoft and Essbase knowledge are a plus.
