The Manager of Payroll Services will Supervise payroll team and oversee the execution of bi-weekly payroll processes to ensure accurate payments to employees, benefit providers and governmental agencies. Manage, train, develop and evaluate payroll staff to perform the payroll production without errors and with maximum efficiency. Develop payroll staff so that each individual can independently provide most of the problem solving capabilities for their areas of expertise with minimal support from the Payroll Manager. Oversee quarterly and annual tax and W-2 filings; review and approve all local, state and federal payroll tax payments and ensure that all payments are made within deadlines. Evaluate, develop and implement appropriate payroll policies and controls, and ensure that payroll-related internal controls and processes are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, federal, and state regulations.Evaluate, recommend and implement payroll processing and system enhancements to increase efficiency. Direct the set up and maintenance of payroll system and interfaces between SAP and external applications. Resolve all escalated payroll inquires with a high degree of quality and accuracy and exercise discretion with highly confidential information.

Qualifications-

Managerial level experience within a payroll department. Knowledge of multi-state payroll, multi-entity payrolls, federal and state wage and labor laws; employee benefit plans, employment practices, and payroll taxes. Knowledge of payroll controls in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Payroll process/Policy development experience.

Must possess the ability to motivate others and delegate responsibility.

Familiarity with General Accounting principles to ensure appropriate accounting entries and accurate payroll interfaces to SAP G/L. Detail oriented, organized and able to work in a fast paced environment Self-starter with initiative, who is able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and highly efficient. Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. In-depth knowledge of ADP. Proficient in SAP, SQL and Excel. Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Administration CPP certification 10+ years of experience in a payroll processing environment
